The pit decides the trailer. We build the chassis, the ventilation and the serving side around the smoker you want to cook on, not the other way round.
What they are
A BBQ trailer for sale from SDG starts with one question: what are you cooking on? A commercial pit is the heaviest, hottest and least movable thing in the build, so its weight, its flue and its clearance set the chassis, the axle count and the floor plan before anything else is drawn.
We have built 16 of them in the current catalogue alone, from $62,995 to $172,650 and from 22′ to 47′. 6 of those carry an Ole Hickory pit installed at our shop, and three are goosenecks where the extra length went into the cooking end.
A bbq concession trailer still has to serve. That means the smoker and the service line have to coexist, which is the part a stock box gets wrong. Whether you call it a smoker trailer or a BBQ rig, the cook end and the customer end are one problem, not two.
In the current catalogue, every one to order.
Including gooseneck and porch configurations.
Pits fitted and vented in our own shop.
Sized to the equipment, not to a default.
What goes into one
These are the decisions that shape a BBQ build. None of it is a fixed package, and every one of them is yours to set.
Ole Hickory is the pit we install most often, 6 times in the current catalogue. Whatever you choose, it is mounted, vented and heat-shielded as part of the build.
A loaded pit changes the numbers. We have built 22′ to 47′, single through triple axle, with the count following the real loaded weight.
Three of our BBQ builds are goosenecks, where the raised neck deck buys cooking length without an unmanageable overall footprint.
A rear porch with railing and roof gives you a working platform at the pit end while the serving windows stay clear for customers.
A commercial hood over the cooking line, with the flue routed for the pit you specified rather than a generic cutout.
14 standard colours including blackout trim packages, plus custom paint and wraps.
How a build happens
Make, model and how much you plan to cook in a session.
Length, chassis, porch, serving side and finish. The 3D configurator shows it.
Priced on your final spec, not a starting-from number.
Fabricated in Waycross and delivered anywhere in the United States.
Why SDG
Most BBQ trailers for sale are a finished box with a smoker bolted in at the end. Ours are drawn around the pit from the first line, which is why the Ole Hickory builds do not look like an afterthought.
Since 2001 we have been fabricating rather than reselling, so moving the pit, adding a porch or going to a gooseneck is a price rather than a no.
Financing is available, and every build is quoted individually on its final specification.

Questions buyers ask
The 16 BBQ builds in our current catalogue run from $62,995 to $172,650. The pit is usually the biggest single variable, followed by length and whether you want a gooseneck. Request a quote with the pit you have in mind and we will price the real build.
Yes. 6 of the BBQ builds in our current catalogue carry an Ole Hickory pit, installed and vented at our shop as part of the build rather than fitted afterwards.
Yes. A rear porch with railing and roof is a configuration we build, and it gives you a working platform at the cooking end while the serving windows stay clear. It is specified with the build like any other option.
We have built from 22′ to 47′. The pit and whether you are running a full service line alongside it matter more than the menu. Goosenecks are worth considering once the cooking end outgrows a bumper pull.
Yes. We build food and concession trailers, coffee trailers, refrigerated trailers, mobile pet grooming trailers, disaster relief units and fully custom builds.
